Position Summary: The Executive Assistant (EA) provides high-level administrative, organizational, and strategic support to senior executives. This role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The EA serves as a trusted partner, enabling executive effectiveness by anticipating needs, streamlining operations, and ensuring seamless day-to-day execution. Knowledge of office productivity software and internal company administrative systems is required. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior executives, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements Act as a gatekeeper, prioritizing and managing executive communications (email, calls, correspondence) Anticipate executive needs and proactively address issues before they arise Prepare meeting agendas, presentations, reports, and briefing materials Attend meetings as needed to capture notes, action items, and follow-ups Coordinate internal and external meetings with senior leaders, board members, and stakeholders Work on a wide variety of assignments of moderate to large scope, importance, and complexity. Partner with the executive to support strategic initiatives and operational priorities Track deliverables, deadlines, and key action items across multiple workstreams Support budget tracking, expense reporting, and invoice processing as required Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED 3+ years of experience providing administrative support to senior-level executives Demonstrated ability to manage complex and competing priorities Delivers a variety of services or support at a senior level while independently implementing policies and procedures appropriate to the environment. Has a broad knowledge of the support/service specialty area coupled with a wide, solid and seasoned understanding of methods, techniques, resources, and operational impact. Demonstrates initiative, creativity and consistent reliability while handling a large and/or complex caseload. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting C-suite or executive leadership teams Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational dynamics Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, or highly regulated environment NRG Energy is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace.
