The Senior Executive Assistant manages the executive office as a central point of coordination, independently establishing priorities, resolving competing demands, and determining the appropriate handling of sensitive and time-critical matters. The role supports the executive on business priorities, commitments, stakeholder concerns, and emerging issues, exercising judgment to escalate, redirect, or resolve matters within delegated authority. The position serves as a trusted liaison to senior executive leaders, employees, clients, regulators, Board members and external partners; coordinates executive-sponsored projects and cross-functional initiatives; and synthesizes business, financial, operational, and organizational information into executive briefings, presentations, reports, and decision materials. Expected outcomes include timely completion of key commitments, effective information flow, operational discipline, and consistent executive support practices. Key Responsibilities Manage the executive office as a central point of coordination, independently establishing priorities, resolving competing demands, and determining the appropriate handling of sensitive and time-critical matters. Advise the executive on business priorities, commitments, stakeholder concerns, and emerging issues; exercise judgment to escalate, redirect, or resolve matters within delegated authority. Serve as a trusted liaison to senior leaders, Board members, employees, clients, regulators, and external partners, representing the executive’s priorities and facilitating decisions and follow-through. Lead and coordinate complex executive-sponsored projects and cross-functional initiatives, developing work plans, monitoring deliverables, identifying risks, and driving timely completion. Exercise independent judgment in managing the executive’s calendar, meeting cadence, travel, and access, aligning limited executive capacity to strategic and operational priorities. Synthesize business, financial, operational, and organizational information into executive briefings, presentations, reports, and decision materials; identify themes, risks, and recommended actions. Plan and facilitate leadership meetings, including agenda development, pre-read coordination, decision documentation, action tracking, and accountability for commitments. Handle highly confidential information involving business strategy, personnel, financial results, legal matters, and organizational decisions using sound judgment and appropriate controls. Develop and improve executive office processes, communication protocols, reporting routines, and tools that increase effectiveness, information flow, and operational discipline. Provide functional leadership, work direction, coaching, and quality review to other administrative professionals; coordinate coverage and consistent support practices across the leadership team. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, organizational leadership, or a related field 7+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting senior executives, including responsibility for complex business priorities, confidential matters, and cross-functional coordination Ability to influence stakeholders, resolve competing priorities, and drive action without direct authority Advanced analytical, problem-solving, project management, and written communication skills Strong business acumen and ability to understand organizational priorities, operating issues, and executive decision-making processes Demonstrated experience exercising independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance with limited supervision Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and executive-level presentation and reporting tools Preferred Qualifications Experience providing executive support to C-suite executives, executive leadership teams, or comparable enterprise leaders Experience within the insurance or financial services industry Project management, change management, or business operations experience Experience coordinating executive-level meetings, leadership materials and board and governance-related activities. Compensation The Salary for this position generally ranges between $150,000 – $170,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
